Sri Ramananda Raya was one of the dearmost associates of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. He played an utmost important role in Gaura Lila by helping Mahaprabhu fulfill His desire of relishing the moods of Srimati Radhika.
Sri Ramananda Samvad (the dialogue between Mahaprabhu and Sri Ramananda Raya) is the heart of Sri Caitanya Caritamrta. The primary reason for Mahaprabhu’s visit to South India was to meet Sri Ramananda Raya and learn about Krsna tattva, Radha Tattva and other deeper aspects of Bhakti tattva.
